We now have two weeks of racing under our belt and things are starting to feel a little more normal. We had seven divisions of racers in the pits, four car classes and three motorcycles classes. VRA Sprint Cars along with Senior Sprints both had first time winners. Tom Stephens Sr. passed Mike Cook on lap seven and never looked back and went on to take his first VRA Senior Sprint Car Feature. Stephens has raced at Ventura Raceway for many decades and has been victorious in several divisions.

Saturday night, September 7th, saw a small field of cars and motorcycles take to Ventura's 1/5 mile oval. Racing in three motorcycle classes and two car classes drivers went all out to go for the wins in their respective classes. The California Lightning Sprints headlined the program with 12 cars in attendance. They ran two heat races with wins going to Dominic Del Monte in heat one and Jon Robertson in heat two. They then ran a special format for their feature event. They ran twin fifteen lap main events. The first was run to set the field for the final fifteen lap feature. Dominic Del Monte won the first fifteen lap race and pulled a six invert for the final fifteen lap race. The final fifteen lap race went to Jarrett Kramer over Cody Nigh, A J Bender, Aiden Lange and Doug Nunes. Kramer's win was his fifth of the six Lightning Sprint races held at Ventura so far this season. Cody Nigh has the only other win here this year.
