Ventura Raceway was in action Saturday night July 6th, with a race program featuring VRA Sprints, VRA Senior Sprints, WMR/Focus Midgets, Hobby Stocks and Lightning Sprints. Once again a small field of VRA Sprints and Senior Sprints had the two classes combined for their 20 lap Main event. Five cars were signed in to each class for the night's action. The race was a hard fought battle in each of the two classes with Chris Meredith taking the Senior win over Wally Pankratz, Mike Cook, Mike English and Mark Sheppard. In the VRA Sprint portion of the event, Jeff Fillingame took his first ever win over Rick Hendrix, Brent Owens, Gage Rucker and Geoffrey Strole. The event was a strange one with Strole flipping on the warm up lap and Fillingame flipping at the checkered flag as he crossed the finish line. Fillingame emerged from his damaged racer to do his winners interview, expressing his joy in winning his first sprint car race ever. Heat race wins in these two classes went to Geoffrey Strole in Sprints and Wally Pankratz in Senior Sprints.

Ventura Raceway continued its 2019 season Saturday night, June 8th. On a clear evening, the drivers in four car classes and three motorcycle classes were on hand to continue season long battle to see who will be our champion in 2019. Fans in attendance witnessed some very exciting racing in every class from the opening heats to the final main events.

Ventura Raceway opened its new 2019 season on a cool, clear, breezy, Saturday night. Four car classes and three motorcycle classes were on hand to get the season underway. Fans in attendance were treated to some exciting racing as drivers began their season-long quest to see who will become track champions this year.

Saturday, September 15th, saw the first appearance of the USAC Midgets at Ventura Raceway in 2018. On a beautiful Saturday night, race fans were treated to another night of exciting racing action. USAC Midgets, VRA Dwarf Cars, IMCA, VRA Focus and Senior Sprints were on hand to compete for points as the 2018 season winds down.

Ventura Raceway's 2018 season resumed Saturday night June 2, with a full program of exciting short track racing. The fans in attendance saw close, hard fought competition all night long from the opening heats to the final main events. VRA Sprint Cars, VRA Dwarf Cars, VRA Hobby Stocks, VRA Senior Sprints and IMCA Modifieds were on hand for a night of very competitive racing action.

Saturday night October 28, saw the return of the Light Up the World Beverages USAC Midgets to Ventura Raceway for their third visit of the season. Also on the card to end our regular season, were the VRA Dwarf Cars, VRA Senior Sprints, California Lightning Sprints and Focus Midgets. Racing was hard fought throughout the field of each class that competed Saturday night.

Ventura Raceway held their next event on a beautiful Saturday night, October 7th, with the running of the Civil War Series between Northern California and Southern California Lightning Sprints. Also racing that night were the VRA Dwarf Cars, Focus Midgets and VRA Senior Sprints.

Saturday night May 13, saw a great night of racing at Ventura Raceway as the USAC Midgets returned to the 1/5 mile clay oval for the first time in 2017. Along with the Midgets, VRA Pro Dwarf Cars, IMCA Modifieds and VRA Hobby Stocks were on hand to fill out the night's racing action.
