Trevor Fitzgibbon wins the IMCA Modified Main and finishes second behind Jack Parker the 2019 IMCA Modified Track Championship. Trevor becomes the first IMCA driver to call Ventura his home track and take the IMCA Modified State Championship. Congratulations

David Prickett wins another WMR Midget main and leads the track championship race.
On a cool, breezy evening, the drivers in five car classes were on hand to continue the season long point battle in each class. Fans in attendance saw exciting racing in every class that competed Saturday night.
VRA Sprint Cars had a small field of five cars Saturday night. 2019 series champ Rick Hendrix took their one heat race. Senior Greg Andrews won their one heat race. The main events for the two classes were combined with the regulars starting out front. A 25 lap main event then ran with the wins going to Trent Williams over Rick Hendrix, Brent Owens, Nick Diani and James Herrera in the regular VRA Sprints and Chris Meredith over Tyler Hatzikian, Greg Andrews and Wally Pankratz in Senior Sprints. Chris Meredith now lead Wally Pankratz by 20 points in Seniors after twelve races.
IMCA Modifieds were back for their final race of 2019 with three drivers (Jack Parker, Terry Hershberger and Trevor Fitzgibbon) competing for the 2019 Track Championship. At the nigth’s end Jack Parker was crowned season champion for the fifth time. With 12 cars signed into the pits, they ran two heat races, with wins going to Trevor Fitzgibbon and Jack Parker. The 20 lap main event was fast and furious with Trevor Fitzgibbon taking the win over Dennis Eckert, Dave Phipps, Jack Parker and Andrew Greiman. Parker’s fourth place finish clinched his fifth track championship by 7 points over Trevor Fitzgibbon and 12 points over Terry Hershbeger. Main event winner Trevor Fitzgibbon clinched the IMCA California State Championship earlier in the week. This is the first time a Ventura Raceway driver has accomplished this prestigious feat.
VRA Pro Dwarf Cars continued their season with 12 cars signing into the pits. They ran two heat races with wins going to Trent Morley and Jason Horton. Multi time champion Johnny Conley then went on to take their 20 lap feature over Brad Curnel, Trent Morley, Jason Horton and Jeff Brink. Jason Horton now leads Trent Morley by 75 points in the series after 14 races.
Twelve WMR Midgets and one Focus Midget made the final class Saturday night. They ran two heat races with wins going to Brandon Wiley and Keoni Texeria. Their 20 lap main event went to David Prickett who dominated the race, leading all 20 laps of the feature. Following him across the line were Blake Bower, Brandon Wiley, Randi Pankratz and Tyler Slay. Tim Foy was the winner in Focus Midgets. After 6 races David Prickett leads Randi Pankratz by 95 points. Tim Foy has clinched the Focus Championship.
Ventura Raceway returns to action on Saturday October 5th with the VRA Senior Sprints, California Lightning Sprints, TQ Midgets and Motorcycles.
