The 2018 Ventura County Fair Motorsports event was run in front of a full house on Wednesday, evening August 1st. The fans in attendance witnessed exciting racing and a few crashes throughout the evening.
After two weeks of back-to-back racing, race fans were kept entertained with the variety of divisions that were on hand both June 30th and July 7th. Warm weather kept the track in perfect condition for all racers on the 1/5 mile at Ventura Raceway.
Saturday night, July 7th, saw a full program of exciting short track racing at Ventura Raceway on a warm evening at the track. The fans in attendance saw close, hard fought competition all night long from the opening heats to the final main events. VRA Sprint Cars, VRA Dwarf Cars, VRA Focus Midgets and California Lightning Sprints were on hand for a night of very competitive racing action.
On a beautiful, warm Saturday night, a large crowd witnessed some very exciting short track racing on Ventura Raceway’s 1/5 mile oval. The featured event was the first ARP Battle At the Beach USAC/VRA 360 race of 2018. This race series, which will crown the King of the Beach in November at the Turkey Night Grand Prix, is always a top notch event featuring the best in 360 sprint car drivers going for the very special Battle at the Beach trophy awarded at each event. Also on hand Saturday night were the IMCA Modifieds, Senior Sprints, VRA Dwarf Cars and Focus Midgets.
