Ventura Raceway opened its new 2019 season on a cool, clear, breezy, Saturday night. Four car classes and three motorcycle classes were on hand to get the season underway. Fans in attendance were treated to some exciting racing as drivers began their season-long quest to see who will become track champions this year.
Saturday, September 15th, saw the first appearance of the USAC Midgets at Ventura Raceway in 2018. On a beautiful Saturday night, race fans were treated to another night of exciting racing action. USAC Midgets, VRA Dwarf Cars, IMCA, VRA Focus and Senior Sprints were on hand to compete for points as the 2018 season winds down.
Ventura Raceway resumed their racing season, Saturday, September 8th, with another night of exciting racing. The fans in attendance saw close, hard fought competition from the opening heats to the final main events. VRA Sprint Cars, Dwarf Cars, Hobby Stocks, Focus Midgets and Senior Sprints were on hand to compete for points as the 2018 season winds down.
Saturday night September 25th, saw the third ARP Battle At the Beach USAC/VRA 360 race of 2018. This race series, which will crown the King of the Beach in November at the Turkey Night Grand Prix, is always a top notch event featuring the best in 360 sprint car drivers going for the very special Battle at the Beach trophy awarded at each event. Also on hand Saturday night were the IMCA Modifieds, VRA Senior Sprints, VRA Dwarf Cars, NMRA TQ Midgets and VRA Hobby Stocks.
The 2018 Ventura County Fair Motorsports event was run in front of a full house on Wednesday, evening August 1st. The fans in attendance witnessed exciting racing and a few crashes throughout the evening.
