Ventura Raceway concluded its 2016 regular season Saturday night October 29, with an outstanding night of racing featuring USAC Midgets, California Lightning Sprints and VRA Pro Dwarf Cars. The crowd in attendance was witness to some of the best racing at the track all season.

Saturday night, October 15, was a night of special events in two of the five classes run. IMCA Modifieds ran a special $800 to win race and the Senior Dwarf Car drivers ran a memorial race in memory of George Calvo. Also running Saturday night were the VRA Hobby Stocks, Focus Midgets and the popular California Lightning Sprints.

Saturday night, October 1, saw another exciting, action filled night of short track racing at Ventura Raceway. With the 2016 season quickly winding down, drivers in all competing classes are were going all out to score points and move up in the standings. Competition once again was very close and hard fought throughout the night's events.

Saturday night, September 3rd, saw a great night of short track racing at Ventura Raceway. With the third 2016 ARP Battle at the Beach race highlighting the night, race fans were there to see who would take the next win in this series within a series that will crown the King of the Beach in November.

The 2016 Ventura County Fair Motor Sports event was run in front of a full house on Wednesday evening, August 3. The fans in attendance witnessed some exciting, close, hard fought racing from the opening heats to the final Main Events and Demolition Derby.

Ventura Raceway returned to car racing after two weeks of motorcycle racing and a weekend off for the Fourth of July holiday. Saturday night, July 9, saw the season continue with a great night of exciting short track racing. Despite smaller than usual car counts, in some classes, competition was very close and hard fought from top to bottom in each event.

Ventura Raceway returned to its regular racing schedule Saturday night May 14, with a full program of racing featuring VRA Sprints, VRA Dwarf Cars, IMCA Modifieds and the winged California Lightning Sprints. Competition was hard fought and very competitive, with a smaller than normal car counts in Sprints and Modifieds.

Ventura Raceway continued its 2016 car racing season to a good crowd of fans and a strong field of cars. After opening night's event we had a week off for Easter but the racers were ready to go Saturday night and the night proved to be exciting and eventful. Competition was very close and hard fought from top to bottom in each class from the opening heat races to the final man events.
